Socialcam – the next big thing?

Socialcam is like Instagram for videos. Essentially the app, which is available on both iPhone and Android allows you to create videos of any length with custom filters, store videos in the cloud & view them from any device, share your masterpiece with Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Email and SMS and browse all your friends/ followers videos.

 

You can search and watch other people’s videos

 

There is a stream which shows the most popular content

 

You can also comment on each other’s videos

The app is really easy to use and certainly makes your videos look a lot better. I can see it catching on. I’m sure it won’t be long before this is snapped up for $1bn…..

Roamler – Review and earn app

I’ve recently been trialling Roamler – a new app which allows you to earn money for completing certain tasks. For example, one current task is to go in to a supermarket and take a photo of how the mince pies are displayed on the shelf. For brands, this represents an opportunity to use geo-location to get real time feedback on their brand and where their products are sold. Its an interesting idea and I’ll be looking forward to seeing it develop.
